After watching the opening sequence of 'Seven' I found that there was an overall effect of curiosity and an squeamish, ominous feeling. This was created via:-
-A strict colour scheme
-shaky handheld camera shots- viewer becomes disorientated
-dingy dark lighting
-sound effects integrated with music-screams and animal sounds
-graphics intermixed with shots of hands
Together, these factors lead the audience to ask questions of why, who, when and how.
