We added social media links to our original homepage such as Pinterest and Twitter to directly allow our audience to interact with our products.
It was important for us to introduce the band on a very familiar level to the bands target audience, so we opened the website with information about the band conveying how our artist is an 'organic' artist rather than an idolised 'synthetic' brand. We managed to do this whilst incorporating a theme or 'white space', similarly to The 1975, we used polaroid style images for each member relating to the use of white space in our album cover.
It was then important to stress the band's products, therefore we immediately linked the viewer to places to download or buy products being tracks, albums and tickets. Engaging the audience in the bands texts. Similarly to other Indie-Rock websites such as The Kook's.
We also gave the viewer the opportunity to sample and stream the bands tracks, introducing them to new content, familiarising them with the band without having to make them commit. We used sleek bold lines completing the Indie Rock theme.
We also including a gallery which included a multitude of both official and behind the scenes images, endorsing the viewers into the bands 'brand' as they feel like they know the band on a more familiar level. The website also offers the viewer to download the images, allowing the viewer to interact with content.
And finally, fitting the conventions of an artist website, we included contact details.
Overall, the sleek scrolling design complements the genre and the bands star image, including all of the necessary information in a minimalistic format. The website stresses links to other social media sources which the youthful target market will interact with on a daily basis.
